    THE SAC IS BACK!!!

    The SAC will reopen on Wednesday, August 19th from Noon - 8:00 pm. Prior to your visit, please review the Guidelines for the Student Activities Center for COVID-19 safety protocols, facilitiy restrictions and reservations.  Masks will be required in the game room and lobby. Masks are optional in the gym while engaging in strenuous activity. As a reminder, all guests must check-in with a staff member as well as check-out to assist in facility occupancy. Reservations will be available at the Ohio State ATI Student Activites Center Bookings site. Reservatons are not required, but encouraged to reserve space. At this time, the weight room, racquetball courts, and locker rooms will remain closed. If you have items in the locker room, see any SAC staff member for access to retrieve your items. 

    Hours of Operation can be found on the Events calendar.

    The following activities will be permitted with physical distancing guidelines in place:

    • Activities with limited or no physical contact, such as cardio, strength training, running, jogging, walking, table tennis (singles), badminton (singles), tennis (singles), and billiards
    • Use of court or outdoor space for individual users
    • Group fitness classes
    • Tennis courts, outdoor basketball court (single user), putting green and open green space

    The following will not be permitted until allowed by state and univeristy guidance:

    • Activities with high contact or in confined spaces
      • Basketball (indoor and outdoor), volleyball (indoor and outdoor), flag football, soccer, racquetball

    Intramural sports will continue to run virtual programs and phase in individual and group programs as guidance allows.

  14. Agriculture and Engineering Technologies (AET) Division

    The Agriculture and Engineering Technologies (AET) Division administers academic programs in animal production/sciences (animal health, beef, dairy, horse, small ruminant, and swine); agronomy, crop production, and sustainable agriculture; agricultural systems management, and engineering technologies (construction, hydraulic power, and power equipment).  Faculty and staff that teach and support courses in these program areas along with the associated laboratories are assigned to the AET division.

    Faculty and staff offices are located in Skou Hall.  Engineering technology labs are in the wing off of the Skou Hall student lounge (rooms 134 – 150).  The animal and crop laboratories are located on the Grace Drake Agricultural Lab (GDAL) close to Apple Creek, Ohio.

    The AET Division will not have set hours of operation during Autumn Semester 2020.  Each faculty and staff member will be making their own appointments during the semester.  Please contact the faculty and staff member directly using their email to arrange a virtual (phone/ZOOM) or in-person appointment.  Here is a listing of the AET Division faculty, staff, and GDAL unit managers with contact information.

    Horticulture Division

    The Horticulture Division is an academic unit offering Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees in:

    • Floral Design and Marketing (AAS)
    • Greenhouse and Nursery Management (AAS)
    • Horticultural Science (AS)
    • Landscape Management (AAS)
    • Turfgrass Management (AAS)

     Other academic program options managed by the Horticulture Division are:

    • Turfgrass Equipment Manager Certificate
    • Professional Golf Management 1+3 program.

  17. Admissions Office

    ADMISSIONS OFFICE RE-OPENING INFORMATION

    The university is committed to doing everything possible to promote the safety of our community as we respond to the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). One of the best ways to prevent the spread of viral illnesses is to minimize the circumstances in which individuals might interact and transmit the disease. The university has requested that employees telework, hold meetings virtually, or postpone them.  However, we will have a staff member on campus each weekday beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

    The safety of our community is our top priority. We realize that our COVID-19 policy guidelines will cause disruption, but the risk of not acting outweighs the inconvenience of these temporary measures.     Our office is responsible for recruiting and communicating with prospective students from a variety of venues. We are responsible for helping students through the application process so that students can enroll in classes.

  20. Wooster Campus Health and Safety

    Reminders from the Ohio STATE Wooster Campus

    • Upon entering buildings, please be alert to facility signage. Please follow directional arrows in stairwells, halls, entrances and exits while maintaing social distancing.
    • Now more than ever, be aware of your surroundings while driving on campus. Expect more foot traffic in parking lots due to Skou Hall parking lot tent and students traveling to Fisher Auditorium.
