Student Org Spotlight - Artists de Fleur/SAIFD

Artists de Fleur is a club for floral design students and others interested in retail floristry.  Through weekly meetings, flower sales, and student-initiated events, you will have the opportunity to socialize and build leadership and management skills while expanding your knowledge of flowers, floral design and other aspects of ornamental horticulture.

The Student Chapter of the American Institute of Floral Designers (SAIFD) is housed under the Artists de Fleur umbrella.  This organization is an honorary for high achieving students in the Floral Design and Marketing major.  Students who qualify for membership have the opportunity to attend AIFD National Symposium and compete against the best of the best collegiate floral designers from the US and Canada.

Student Org Essentials

Continuing this fall, the Student Org Essentials Series will unite student leaders and campus experts to talk through a variety of exciting and important topics relevant to today’s student organization at Ohio State. The series this semester will be held tri-weekly on Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. As always, the series will be recorded and posted online, though we invite you to attend the live session for the best possible learning experience. All organization members and advisors are invited!

Topics this semester will be:

• Monday, October 5 – Leadership Week Special: Foster Wellbeing and Fight Burnout in Your Student Organization
• Monday, October 12 - You’re Clear for Take-Off: Avoiding Turbulent Leadership Transitions

OHIO STATE ATI 2021-2022 FINANCIAL AID TO-DO LIST

October is here! The 2021-2022 FAFSA application is available to complete and submit for next school year.  In addition to this month, take the time to complete the Ohio State ATI/CFAES scholarship application and OSU Special Scholarship application. Check out this TO DO LIST for more details!

OSU/ATI CFAES SCHOLARSHIP

The OSU/ATI CFAES scholarship application is now live for the next academic year!  DO NOT WAIT TO APPLY!   

If you plan to return to ATI next year or continue on to Columbus and plan to have a 2.0 GPA or higher, be sure to fill out the application to be considered for scholarship funding!  Scholarships are distributed based on many factors, not just academic performance! 

If you plan to return to ATI next year you will select ATI/Wooster for your campus.  If you will be transitioning to Columbus AFTER this Spring, you will select the Columbus campus.  It is VERY important that you select the correct campus as awards do not cross campuses.

Farm Bureau Marketing and Communications Internship (Unpaid) Wooster office

This flexible position is offered at the Wooster Farm Bureau office. Intern must be able to work 6 hours per week in the office during office hours (8 AM to 5 PM). Additional opportunities for hours at home outside of regular business hours. Length of internship to run from November 2 through the remainder of the 2021 school year.

Guidelines:

1. Masks are mandatory to play or spectate.

2. Provide own bags, if available

3. Players must be 6 ft apart at all times while playing. (For example, while Player A is tossing, opponent on same side of board must step back 6 ft)
