Student Org Spotlight - Community Council

The mission of Community Council is to encourage a better social and academic atmosphere within Applewood Village and provide residents with activities and programs to help improve the quality of life at Ohio State ATI. You may have already participated in some Community Council events this year like the most recent courtyard bonfires!!

Similar to high school student council, all residents of the Applewood Village student apartments at Ohio State ATI are welcome and encouraged to become members of this club that is by the residents, for the residents. Community Council plans monthly events that are totally free and fun- both on or away from campus. Club members decide how the housing activity fee is spent through social programming or village improvement initiatives. This year Community Council is sponsoring mini-grants to support ATI registered Student Organizations!

Community Council officers are selected through a yearly application process. Leadership roles such as neighborhood street representatives and committee chairs are also available in addition to general membership roles.

Meetings are held weekly and new members and new ideas are welcome at any time.
