First Generation Celebration
Join the Buckeyes First Student Organization in a celebration of the first-generation college student identity on Sunday, November 8 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm virtually through zoom. Students, faculty, and staff come together to reflect, build community, and celebrate the experiences of being first-generation at The Ohio State University. Dr. Melissa Shivers, Vice President of Student Life, will provide a keynote message. We will also share opportunities for engagement around first-generation support beyond first-gen day. Join the Buckeyes First Student Organization to engage in meaningful conversation with Ohio State faculty and staff about resources uniquely created for first-gen students as well as resources students can learn how to better take advantage of.

Thursday Nov. 5 – First Generation Panel
Join the Buckeyes First Student Organization on Thursday, Nov. 5 for a panel experience. You’ll hear from first-gen graduate students, faculty/staff, alumni, and more.
