Deep Dive into Career Exploration Workshop

Are you unsure of what to do with your major? Do you have an idea of what you want to do, but aren’t sure where to go next? Then this is the workshop for you! Take a deep dive into what it means to explore a major or career. CFAES Career Advisors Caitlin and Chelsea will discuss ways to learn more about an industry or profession and help point you in the right direction to learn more.

Networking & Elevator Pitch 101 Workshop

Preparing for the career fair? Or just trying to make connections? This workshop will show you how to build your network and provide you with an example of a 30 second elevator pitch to use when meeting new people.

 

Interview Skills Workshop

Getting ready for the job market? Think you can wing your interview questions? Think again. Acing the interview takes preparation and practice. At this workshop, you will learn how to answer the toughest questions employers ask and how demonstrate that you are the best person for the job.

 

Career Fair Prep Workshop

Career fairs will once again be hosted virtually in the Spring. The CFAES Career Development Office is here to support students and ensure that you have the necessary tools to connect with employers. From activating your Handshake profile, to connecting your video on the day-of, and everything in between – this workshop will answer your questions and help you to prepare for a successful Virtual Career Fair experience.

Procrastinator Guide to Career Fairs Workshop

Do you embrace the fact that you’re a procrastinator? Do you enjoy waiting until the last minute and rushing around to get things done? Some people work best under pressure. If you know that you’re going to procrastinate and you’ll need some last-minute tips, consider attending this workshop!

Career Fair: The Follow Up Workshop

Have you ever wanted to send an email to thank someone, and rewritten and deleted it a bunch of times? You want to be sincere, but you aren’t sure if you sound too needy. Believe it or not, employers really respect students who follow up after the career fair with a “Thank you” note. You can leave a strong positive impression with the employer if you just follow a few simple steps on the days after the career fair. In this workshop we’ll go over the do’s and don’ts of The Follow Up.
