61st Student Life Leadership Awards

61st STUDENT LIFE LEADERSHIP AWARDS OPEN TO REGIONAL CAMPUSES

The Department of Student Activities within the Office of Student Life, is inviting you to apply for the 61st Student Life Leadership Awards—Masquerade—to be hosted on April 9th, 2021 at 4:00 pm ET! More importantly, we want to emphasize that students across all Ohio State campuses are eligible for an award. The 2021 Leadership Awards will be a fully virtual celebration that expands on a tradition of highlighting students, staff, and faculty that have demonstrated a clear commitment to leadership, service, collaboration, and activism. While we have not promoted these awards well to more campuses in the past, we hope to make this year's program an accessible celebration of the resilience and commitment to leadership learning happening across the entire Ohio State community.

Applications close on February 1, 2021, at 11:59 pm ET, and all letters of recommendation will be due on February 5, 2021, at 11:59 pm ET. Applicants do not need to hold a formal leadership position within a student organization to be eligible for an award. As there is no one perfect example of a leader, we invite people across different identity groups, backgrounds, and collaborative leadership experiences to apply for an award. Judges will focus more on learning, attitudes, and actions than on previous awards or titles alone. You can also nominate someone for an award and submit materials on their behalf, or encourage them to apply directly by submitting a note of encouragement at http://go.osu.edu/NotesOfEncouragement. After a note of encouragement is submitted, I will email the individual on your behalf to encourage them to apply for the award themselves.
