Bucks2Bucks Mentor General Duties

Each mentor will be given 4-5 mentees to work with over the academic year. The number of assigned mentees per mentor is determined by total number of mentees in program.

Mentors will assist mentees in answering questions and navigating campus, but most importantly be their first peer contact at ATI!

Mentors will attend monthly Bucks2Bucks program/social activity and host a mentee gathering.
Academic Year Commitments

Contact your mentees prior to the start of the autumn semester. A “Welcome Email Template” will be provided.

Mentors who are residential students will move-in on priority move-in along with mentees. This will be the first day of eligible campus move-in. Non-residential students will be expected to be in attendance for evening activity that day.

Participate in Welcome Days activities with mentees and attend Convocation.

Host small social gatherings with mentees once a month

Potential Ideas – Head to the SAC Gameroom/weight room; take a trip to Walmart, have lunch/dinner together; walk around Main Street Wooster and check out the shops

Assist in organizing/planning one monthly Bucks2Bucks program/social activity in addition to attending all monthly events

Potential Ideas – Bowling Night, Putt Putt/Go Karts, Craft Night, Board Game Night, Karaoke

Help interview and select next cohort of mentors

Upon the closing date, potential candidates will be contacted for an interview

Bucks2Bucks Peer Mentor Training

Trainings will take place in the spring semester once mentor cohort is named.

Resources will be provided and a resource binder to reference during your time as a peer mentor.
